Real-life experiences from delighted customers showcase the charm of Hitty’s. Charlotte Edwards enjoyed a quick lunch of lobster BLTs and cranberry lemonades while admiring the stunning surroundings; she found the service quick and the prices very reasonable, especially for a remote island setting. Keith Tharp praised the fast and friendly service, highlighting the peaceful outdoor patio as a sanctuary away from pesky mosquitoes.

While some visitors have mentioned a slightly gruff demeanor from the staff, it appears to stem from the hustle and bustle of the season. Marilyn Coffie reflected on wonderful food and the cafe's incredible outdoor patio, which offers a respite amidst the busy tourist season.

In summary, Hitty’s Cafe is more than just a place to eat; it’s a genuine island experience that invites you to savor local specialties in a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're refueling after a day of exploring or simply taking in the tranquil surroundings, Hitty's promises a satisfying culinary experience for all who stop by.

Wonderful place to stop for lunch after walking the trails. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced, especially considering you're on an island. We had the lobster BLTs and cranberry lemonades, which were prepared very quickly, even though most of the other tables were full. They were very good about asking anyone waiting for food to distance due to COVID.

Hitty’s Café was a wonderful stop during our afternoon visit to Great Cranberry. Service was fast and friendly, our food was delicious, and the outside patio eating area was neat and clean. They may have been in a magical spot on the island too, because everywhere else we went has swarming mosquitoes, but there were none here while we were eating.

The only place to eat on Great Cranberry besides the general store. Pricey, but to be expected being on an island. Enjoyed the mozzarella and tomato panini ($14) and the BLT ($12). Outdoor seating only at picnic tables or tables with umbrellas.

Outdoor café on Great Cranberry Island. Good solid lunch. Very limited hours, so plan your visit accordingly. Attached to the local museum which was delightful to visit!

Awesome food! The outdoor seating was nice & the food came out quickly. We had the lobster roll, BLT, and turkey club as well as the cranberry lemonade. The cranberry lemonade is sweet & tart, exactly as expected and very good. The lobster roll was awesome & the bread was super good. The BLT & turkey club were also quite tasty. Very well-priced as well compared to the other restaurants we have visited.

Visited Cranberry Island for the morning - Hitty’s may be your only food option besides the general store. Solid sandwiches. Owner was at first slightly condescending but warmed up as we spent money. Not sure if they get sick of the tourists?

We were there at the end of the season. The food was wonderful, and the outdoor patio was amazing. The guy was a little gruff, but it was the end of the season, so he might have been a bit over the tourists, which I can understand. Overall, it was fantastic.
